The concert of Tokio Hotel at the Vienna Stadthalle is anything but sold out. Interview in Austria with Bill Kaulitz
Vienna is different - a slogan, which the teenage heros from Tokio Hotel (Monsun) has to face now bitterly. Filling halls with their opulent Humanoid Welcome to City-tour all over Europe (360,000 visitors in 32 concerts), at the concert at the Wiener Stadthalle ( on 30 March) the fans stay away: only about 4,000 tickets has been sold. Nevertheless with their bombastic show in the style of David Bowie with 19 hits like Pain of Love, Love and Death or Forever now , screaming is to be bound to occure.

AUSTRIA: Your Vienna concert is anything but sold out...
Bill Kaulitz: There are always ups and downs. No one can give a guarantee for success. But we will keep going on. Also because, otherwise we are completely ungifted.
AUSTRIA: As a teenband, don't you suffer from image problems?
Kaulitz: No, because the teens are the hardest to impress. So we actually play in the premier class.
AUSTRIA: Five years of Tokio Hotel. Havn't you already passed the half-life-period of a teenband?
Kaulitz: That's amazing. After Monsun a lot of people wanted to see us failing, but we didn't scratch their back...Quality prevails...
AUSTRIA: Are you never sick of the hype and screaming at concerts?
Kaulitz: No, screaming couldn't be loud enough. It is great, that our fans have such energy.
AUSTRIA: What is the reason for your success?
Kaulitz: There is no recipe. Except maybe the body odor of our drummer( omg...bassplayer..stupid reporter) George.
AUSTRIA: The dark side of Tokio Hotel?
Kaulitz: This job makes you unwordly. Since I'm 15, I am not able to go normally on the street. Only with bodyguards. Annoying!
AUSTRIA: Have you already made it financially?
Kaulitz: Not by far. It is a misconception that TV shows and front pages make you rich. By now the music industry is the wrong buisiness to rake in millions. For that...you have to be a soccer player or racer.
