BRAVO #31/2010 [Germany] - Scans & Translation

The Duel of the Glamour-Boys

Both boys have cool hairstyles, crazy outfits and star-power! But which singer rocks more?

Career
Already at school Adam sings in the choir and in the school-jazz-band. After his graduation he played in musicals and plays. In 2009 he goes to the casting-show "American Idol" - he comes second! But he doesn't give up... From a regular guy from the village of Loitsche to a worldstar. That's the beginning: With his twinbrother Tom (20) Bill made music as Black Questionmark. 2001 they met Gustav und Georg during a gig. They founded the band Tokio Hotel. 2003 Bill participated in star search, but was knocked out in the last 16...

Success
...and finally he gets a record deal! His CD "For Your Entertainment" sells internationally about a million times. Until today he has won three awards, including the "Teen Choice Award". ...but the castingend was the beginning of a worldcarrier. Bill and his band sold worldwide 6 millionen CDs and won 45 (!) awards, among them are three golden BRAVO-Ottos and eleven Comet-Awards.

Outfits
He knows no limits in terms of styling! At parties he dresses as a woman - and on stage he wears flashy clothes and hats. His fans called him "Mister GaGa". In private Bill mixes second hand clothes with expensive brand-name-clothes. On the stage and on the catwalk he likes it even more wilder. Shining space-outfits or crazy leather-outfits with feathers.

Body jewellery
On his right forearm he has two tattoos: the Eye of Horus (it's a symbol for protection from evil eyes) and an infinity sign. In addition, he has so-called "Flesh Tunnels" (stretched out earlobe piercings). At the age of 15 Bill got his first tattoo, the TH-Logo in the neck. Then a star on his belly, a message on his lef forearm and his rips followed.
Bill has piercings too: one in his tounge, his nippel, his eye-brow and newly a septum.

Hairstyles
Adam dyes his nature-blond hair: he usually has them in black. But he had already purple or green hair. He deals with his homosexuality very open. Bill loves crazy haircuts: Manga, palmtree-look and dreads. Currently he has...indeed...the high-styled Lambert-Look.

Love
At the American Movie Awards in Los Angeles he kissed his keyboarder on the stage. Currently he is single - but he has a crush on Bill : "He is my dream man!" The TH-frontman is really lonely. Since five years he hasn't kissed a girl.
"I'm dreaming of my true love." At least he gets it from his family and his fans...

Result

The trophy of the super-glamour-boy goes to...BILL! Since years the 20-year-old and his band turn in a true dream-carrier. The newcomer Labert is far away from this. But...watch out...with increased regularity he steals the fashion-icon Bill the show with his mega-stylish-outfits. And with his awesome voice Adam is able to become a worldstar like Bill too. Stay tuned...well, we would love to see a duet, guys!

BRAVO #30/2010 [Germany] - Scans & Translation

So you become cool and confident!

Stress at school? Trouble in the clique? Bill and Tom from Tokio Hotel show you how you can solve your problems...

Nobody is perfect!

Do you dislike something about you? Do you even have complexes because of it? That's what the Supertwins advice you: "Don't deal severly with you. Nobody is perfect. Think about it. Your look and your character will chance a few times", said Tom. That means: If you are now a very shy person, it may look quite different in few years. "If people disrespect you because of your clothes, realise, that there is more to it than expensive designer-clothes", said Bill. "In the past I have always sewn myself cool outfits from second-hand-clothes. Be creative!"

Search for like-minded people!

It is tough to be on your own. You need people who support you. Bill: "Because of being twins, we have the great advantages of being always in pairs. Alone, we would be only half as confident." For those, who have no twin, look for an ally. "There is always somebody who has to deal with the same problem. You are never alone." But you don't need an army. Bill: "It is always better to have one or two best friends, who support you, than twenty who perhabs slander about you. If nothing work out, look for some help from your parents or teachers."

Screw on haters!

To be an outsider, is not so bad! Tom: "We have always been different! Just because of our looks! That's why many people disliked us at school! So what, we also liked only a few people! But we soon realized that this is a good thing! Because we love to be different" With this in mind, it was much easier for the twins! "Screw about what others think! Who cares...it changes nothing in your life! Much more important is that you are at peace with yourself! You have mistakes and distinguish yourself from the crowd? We like that", said Bill.

You can also do something!

Discover your talents! "Everyone can do something special! It's in you! Whether it's something handcrafted, you can make music or you're creative. Even the most mundane thing can be something special.", advises Bill. "If you have found your skills, be proud, show and promote them! Because maybe you can turn this into something great later! Just like us! We started very early to make music, we rehearsed a lot, we played often gigs - and someday it worked out. You can do that too!!"

Be independent!

You will be particularly strong, if you learn as early as possible to stand on one's own feet. "We have tried to make decisions by ourselves! When we were newcomers, the people of the music business thought they couldn't believe their ears! Because already at the age of 15 we represent our opinion - and came out on top", says Tom. "But begin in a small way! We wanted, for example, no gifts at celebrations like Christmas or birthday - but rather money! For Tom and me it was important to budget ourselves! So that we were able to divide and decide when we buy clothes or use our cell phones. We have also never get much pocket money. It was about 30 euros a month!"

Making some noise

Rockers Tokio Hotel happy to pump up the volume

The last time German rockers Tokio Hotel were in town, they played an acoustic showcase - a far cry from Humanoid City, the ballsy show they've been touring recently. This time round, when Tokio Hotel return to our shores for Singfest, they promise to rock out - albeit on a smaller scale than Humanoid City.

"We will have a full electric show, but we won't be able to bring the whole set for Humanoid City," said Tokio Hotel singer Bill Kaulitz over the phone. "But it's going to be a great show anyway."

What do you expect this time?

We expect great weather. And great audiences. Well, you know, we'd rather see the fans one-to-one than just read about them or hear about them on the Internet. This time we can see them face-to-face and see their reactions and emotions. That's always a great thing. So we're excited.

Did you see much of Singapore and try the local food last time?

The schedule was really, really tough the last time, so we didn't see the whole city and all our fans, but it was fantastic. We just ate pasta, pizza and things like that. Maybe we'll get to try some this time.

Brothers in a band aren't always a good idea. Look at Oasis. How well do you get along with Tom?

I think because we're identical twins, it's a little different. There's a connection there, it's something special. We're like one person - can't live without each other. I mean, we have fights sometimes, but five minutes later, we'll forget about it. Tommy and me, we've done everything together our whole lives. It's an enormous thing for us to be in the same band and doing all this together.

You guys were teens when you started. Any advice for young bands?

It's hard in the beginning, especially if you are very young, with people talking sh** about you. But when you're doing good music at 15 ... that's a good thing. To be successful, though, it's a lot of luck - you have to be at the right place at the right time. And a lot of hard work. We made the decision and we just wanted to go for it and do music our whole lives. We didn't care what happened. It's important to keep that goal in mind to go professional.

So you didn't think to do anything else after school?

Tom and me, we started to make music when we were seven. After school, we went directly into the rehearsal room. There was never a Plan B. If we weren't picked up by the label, I think we could have been homeless musicians, maybe. We would play anywhere - in front of five or in front of thousands. But it's better to play in front of thousands! We are really lucky to have this life. I feel really blessed.

Fanaction - Say 'Hello' to Tokio Hotel

And another fanaction! But this time it's not about who writes a longer fanletter, who makes a bigger card or who sings the songs better. No, this fanaction is plain and simple about to greet the boys in one's mother tongue. To sum up, a poster will be sent around the entire world where every fan can leave a greet for the band in his language and dialect. More information about how YOU can participate is HERE. So, are you in?!

Tokio Hotel Promises An Extraordinary Performance

Even though our conversation went on for less than 15 minutes, it was clear that these four young men from Germany who call themselves Tokio Hotel are very excited about their performance at the MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2010 at Surf Beach @ Sunway Lagoon this coming 31 July.

During our brief conversation, the group that consists of Gustav Schäfer, Tom and Bill Kaulitz and Georg Listing were repeatedly expressing their happiness that their second trip to Malaysia will definitely be different and much more special for their fans.

"It's going to be a large-scale performance and different from the previous one. Since we are still quite new to the international stage, we are so grateful to MTV World Stage for giving us the chance to perform at this event."

"What's more interesting is that MTV World Stage 2010 will be held in Malaysia and that indirectly gives us the opportunity to meet with the fans who appreciate our music," said the band's lead singer Bill Kaulitz.

Moving on to their performance on the night of the concert, Bill states that his band will surely put on a show that is prestigious enough for such a monumental event.

Set to deliver their popular hits such as Pain of Love, Human Connect To Human, World Behind My Wall, Noise and Automatic, this band, which was formed in 2005, is expected to come forth with an arrangement and musical composition that is promised to be bigger and fresher, as well as using their own crew and performance production besides a special gimmick on the night of the concert.

"What can we say? The performance that night will be extraordinary and will exceed expectations. Besides a set list that is bigger and more energetic, we will also collaborate with our own crew and stage production for our special performance gimmick."

"Maybe on that night, we will try to enthrall the audience with a fireworks display apart from songs that will definitely entertain. We can't reveal anything else - the fans just have to come and see for themselves the difference that we'll perform," said Bill, who was touched by the sheer response from fans during their maiden visit here last May.

In August 2009, MTV World Stage which was organised for the first time in Malaysia managed to pull in close to 15,000 fans at Sunway Lagoon to watch The All-American Rejects, Kasabian, Pixie Lott, Hoobastank, Boys Like Girls, Raygun and Estranged.

For this year, apart from Tokio Hotel, MTV World Stage 2010 is expected to be more earth-shattering with the presence of US pop sweetheart Katy Perry, Korean band Wonder Girls and local indie band Bunkface. MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2010 is happening this 31 July, starting at 6PM, at Surf Beach @ Sunway Lagoon.

Tokio Hotel soon in Ecuador

It says there's a chance of Tokio Hotel going to Ecuador.

http://entertainment.malaysia.msn.com/commented/article.aspx?cp-documentid=4242018

There's no doubt about it: Tokio Hotel is one of the biggest bands this year and they have their fans to thank them for. That's why the boys kept gushing about you in this exclusive interview.

You guys put on a terrific show here in Malaysia back in May 2010. What do you miss most about Malaysia?
Bill: When we first came, we were so surprised because everyone was so friendly and we had a warm welcome, so we definitely missed the people and the weather, of course! But on stage, it gets a little too hot and we're not used to it; we were on a European tour and it was cold everywhere. But it was great and we look forward to the show!

What can fans expect from your performance at the MTV World Stage?
B: This time it's going to be bigger: production-wise and special-effects like electric shower. It's going to be really, really cool. We did think about playing naked [laughs]. I wanted to bring my costumes with me from the European tour but I think it will be too hot. Maybe something more casual this time.

It's been two months since we last saw you in May. What have you guys been up to?
B: We were in the studio and we did some promotional tour in Europe. We just launched our new DVD 'Humanoid City Live' and we recorded this at Milano. It's a fantastic live DVD and we had a lot of fun doing this. We also recorded a live album and a new video 'Darkside of The Sun'.

You are set to perform at MTV World Stage with the likes of Katy Perry and Wonder Girls. Who are you most excited to meet?
B: I'm most excited to meet the fans and the crowd. I've never heard about the Wondergirls; they're a completely new band to us. But, the fans are incredible and we're looking forward to our own show and concert.
Tom: For all of us, we're looking forward to our performance and I'm a big fan of Tokio Hotel, so I can't wait to see them live! And they have such a beautiful guitar player! [laughs]

Back in 2008, Katy Perry dedicated her controversial song 'Ur So Gay' to you for beating her to the 'Best New Artiste' Award. Are you flattered?
B: I seriously feel sorry for her that we won! Well, the best band wins [laughs]. And everyone knows we have the best fans in the world!

Tell us more about your fans.
B: They are loyal and they're always there for us. It feels like a whole family on the road; we have some fans who are always at our shows in Europe. We have Tokio Hotel TV and the Internet that we can always check and keep in touch with them.

We understand that Bill and Tom are turning 21 this year. Would you like any presents from your fans?
B: You know, I like diamonds and Ferrari! I like it when fans write us songs and post video messages to us. George will be buying us a Ferrari and a diamond ring!
T: Oh, we have a rule in the band: no presents for nobody as it would be too expensive! We've known each other for ten years and to buy amazing presents for four great people, we thought, we don't want that stress! We just have a great time together. And we party! Let's say George had a party when he's on tour and that was really sweet. Our bus driver arranged for a party in the tour bus! So I gave him a real, warm hug.
Georg: That's what we wish for every year.

We'll give you a hug for the success of 'Humanoid' as well.
B: We are so proud of this record because it's always hard to record the third album as a band. But it was exactly how we wanted; we tried new stuff in the studio and it worked live on stage. Everything's working great, especially the European tour, Malaysia and Asia, and now we're better than ever.

What's next for Tokio Hotel after MTV World Stage 2010?
B: Erm, we are going on a short trip to South America, and after that we go back to Europe to do more promo tours, followed by the studio to write new songs. Hopefully we get a vacation and some time off. It was a long year for us!

Where would you like to go for a vacation?
B: We like small islands. We always go to the Maldives, which is so beautiful. We've been there, I don't know [pauses] it's the most beautiful place in the world. I really like to go somewhere quiet where there is the beach, ocean and nothing else.

Since your band's name is Tokio Hotel, do you have any weird hotel experiences?
B: Yes, we've been to many hotels on our travels and we have a few favourites like the one in Singapore, actually. And we had some bad experience like this hotel in South Africa where we had our video shoot, it was called a hotel but it wasn't a hotel, really. It was like a small bungalow to fit everyone and there was camping involved! It was so f**king cold in the room and there was no heater! Nothing to eat, no Internet and water too! That was really an experience for us.

What do you guys listen to on your iPod?
B: It's a mixture of Aerosmith to pop stuff; I don't have this one band locked down but most of the time, I listen to this band called Tokio Hotel.
Georg: I really like the new record by 30 Seconds to Mars. I listen to it all the time.
Gustav: I listen to Devilish.

Ambulant Stars

Tom and Bill Kaulitz have cars with so much power! They are still normal teens - but they fascinate the world with their tour in every continent...

Planet-beruf.de: Do you book a private plane when you fly to shows or use normal planes for passengers?
Bill: Just rent a plane if there is no other way temporarily or if there is no direct flight. But basically we are not fans of flying... either privately or airliners!

Planet-beruf.de: Which transport you prefer the most?
Tom: We like cars and like to drive them. Personally I always need a lot of power and drive fast, where you are allowed! Of course I abide by traffic regulations. The last thing I want is an accident.

Planet-beruf.de: What has been your longest trip? Which really impressed you most?
Bill: Travels in Europe and America were the longest trips. There we were on the road six thousand miles and more. Every place where we stop is a special way by itself. Recently we were in Asia to get the gold CD and some interviews. This really impressed us and so far this has been the most distant destination.

planet-beruf.de - Starinterview: Tokio Hotel

Tom and Bill Kaulitz are into cars with many PS! So they are still normal boys - although they're fascinating the entire world by now and tour on all continents...

planet-beruf.de: Do you have an own plane when you fly to shows or do you use "normal" passenger planes?

Bill: We only rent an own plane if there's no other way temporally or if there are no non-stop flights. But basically we're no fans of flying ... whether private or with passenger planes!

planet-beruf.de: With what do you rather move along?

Tom: We all are really into cars and love to drive with them. I personally always need many PS and drive fast, where it's allowed! Of course I stick to the traffic regulations. Because the last thing I want is an accident.

planet-beruf.de: Which one was your longest journey? What did impress you the most?

Bill: The tours through Europe and America were the longest journeys. There we were on the road ten thousand kilometres and more. Every place where we stop is somehow special for itself. Recently we were in Asia for a gold awarding and some interviews. It was really impressing and so far it's been the farthest destination.

Tokio Hotel "A present for Italy" Interview

Catania went nuts for Bill and Tom Kaulitz
Under sun and night camping

The Interview
They presented at Le Ciminiere the DVD "Humanoid City - Live" filmed in Milano

CATANIA. The car with dark glasses has space among the crowd. Here them, stars are arrived. They are the today's divas. They are Tokio Hotel. To wait, an amount of screaming teenagers from all Italy, most of them spent the night before in front of TRL stage to be in first line. Same scene in front of Feltrinelli store, many guys waited the opening to buy the only 300 copies of new Humanoid City Live DVD, filmed during Milano concert and realeased in worldwide premiere in Catania.
Vanessa, Chiara and Nadir, 20 years old girls arrived from Palermo at 4 am, but there are also girls from Vicenza and Padova who were at Ciminiere since 10 pm on Thursday. With umbrellas to protect from sun and sun-protection cream to do not burn, they waited until yesterday at 19 pm to see their idols. Absolute devotion since the band didn't perform but simply presented the new dvd.
Only 2 of 4 band members were attending, but the most loved: Bill and Tom Kaulitz, the twins of group. The teutonic emo and the cornrows rapper. Grey shirt with vampire teeths, nailpolish, dark makeup, brilliant ring and wedges shoes for singer Bill, red squares shirt, sneakers and cornrows for guitarist Tom. They have a "pure" face and the behaviour of 2 next door teenagers.
Why did you choose to shoot DVD just during Milano date of your tour?
"We decided" - Bill tells - "because it was the final part of our tournee. It was one of our best shows ever and this DVD producer made a really good job. Inside then, there is a part for backstage in which there are really funny sit-com. We love Italian fans also so we were happy to shoot our DVD just during Milano concert".

Is this your first time in Sicily?
"Yes, and unluckly we weren't able to see many things: on Thursday night we didn't slept and today we are left early,so we spent the whole day in hotel. By the way, here in Sicily there is an incredible warm. Actually in Germany is hot as well, but not in this way".

How do you feel to be the most successful German band of the last 20 years?
"We are really proud of this success also because it wasn't easy to get. Everything we do, since we get up until we go to sleep is related to Tokio Hotel. At the beginning we had fans in our country only, then our label told us: "now let's try in France, Italy,etc.". Our life changed totally in so few time. When we came back to school, everything was different. But all medails have their back. To example, today we hav no more what you can define as normal life. We have no privacy and we can't go out with friends like everyone else and we are always with bodyguards. At the beginning we felt really strange".

The most crazy thing a fan did for you?
"In front our house there is always people who wait our come back. We come back really few times in Germany and when we do, we'd like to stay with our family or our dogs. Sometimes there are some crazy people waiting even whole days in their car and who have nothing to do with our usual supporters. by the way, once it happened a real absurd thing.A girl climbed until 3rd floor and went in by a window just to meet us. At the end we made a picture with her of course".

How important is look and make-up for Tokio Hotel?
"Everyone" - Bill says - "has always kept his own style. To example, I always dress and make up in this way. It wasn't a decision related to TH. Our only rule is be ourselves".

Next projects?
"We'll visit Asia and Latin America. About future ,after these dates and DVD release, well let's wait and see. Our life is made of many surprises. When we were at school everything was the same. The frequent news instead are the thing we love mostly about Tokio Hotel!".

Bill Kaulitz hat 'nen Nasenring

"Bling Bling" at Tokio Hotel
Bill Kaulitz has a nose ring

Beautiful is different somehow:
That the "Tokio Hotel"-singer Bill Kaulitz (20) is into crazy clothes and much bling-bling, is a fact.

But now he even has a nose ring!
Let's keep our fingers crossed for him that he won't get a summer minor illness.
Wiping the nose could be a problem then ...

Breaking the records for the love for Tokio Hotel !

KimiTomiDoll (from Belgium Street Team) create this amazing worldwide FanAction.
Idea: "TwlightFans want to break our 12 Km long fanletter record. Of course we can't let them do that. So I suggest, 1 or 2 persons per country take a responsible who will get all the fanletters of their country together and that person sends all the letters to me. I will be responsible for Belgium. Then I will hang all the letters on each other. I promise I won't read them, you can trust me with this.
Rules: "Don't write the letter on the front and the back, but if you write more than 1 page then take a new paper because otherwise it will not go fast."
Wanna be the responsable: "If you cant to be responsable for you country DM me."
How long: "I am not gonna say how long we are gonna make it because otherwise TwilightFans know how to beat us again. So hup hup hup, we can make this fanletter so long."

Largest Greeting Card for Tokio Hotel Twins

Idea:
Idea is to make world's largest greeting card for Bill and Tom's 21. birthday.
Celebration of 21. birthday is often big and we need to make it even bigger. What's better than breaking Guinness record?
Current record is 9x6 m and we need to make this one bigger. It will be one BIG greeting card.
TH fans will be part of the history.

Information:
I've already sent application to Guinness office and we need to wait for them to approve the attempt. If they don't approve it we will know that we did anything we could and that we have something BIG to give them.
IF they approve then we will collect the evidence and send everything to their office in London. They will check everything and within 6 weeks they will send us a certificate.

How to participate:
Buy or make a birthday card (you can also write a poem or draw something) and send that to following address:
Anita Dilber
Donja mahala 63
71300 Visoko
Bosnia and Herzegovina
Europe

It will cost you up to 2 € to send this to my address.
As you know it takes time to deliver letters so please send yours till August 20th.

Every greeting card that I receive will be glued to one HUGE greeting card which will be made of carton. Me and other fans that live near me will work on it, we will decorate it and make it cool.
You need to write your REAL name and surname on the envelope because it will be in Guinness book.

THE NEW PAPER - 16.07.2010 (Singapore)

No bust-up with DSquared

TOKIO HOTEL REFUTES RUMOURS ABOUT PREVIOUS TRIP HERE
It was German pop-rock band Tokio Hotel's first trip to Asia, after being invited here as guest performers for the Audi Fashion Festival in April.

Naturally, the four young men who had grown up in the small village near Magdeburg experienced their fair share of culture shock.

The quartet - compromising singer Bill Kaulitz, 20, his twin borther/guitarist Tom, bassist Georg Listing, 23, and drummer Gustav Schafer, 21 - even left our part of the world with "funny stories" to tell their native media.

It was reported that Tom suffered from pounding headaches and blurred vision for two days after taking an overdose of Viagra which was sold to him in Taiwan, one of the stopovers on Tokio Hotel's recent Asian promotional tour.

On his bad experience with the little blue pill, the dreadlocked resident joker of the group told The New Paper over the phone from Germany: "Yeah I'll be more careful (when I'm in Asia again) but it was a funny experience and I think people need that."

"I think this time maybe Georg will try it. You see, his girlfriend is not so pretty, so maybe it's good to take some Viagra over to Europe."

Tokio Hotel will return to Singapore next month to perform a full concert at the annual SingFest outdoor music festival.

This year's lineup also includes Katy Perry, Kanye West, Smashing Pumpkins, 30 Seconds To Mars and Wonder Girls.

Prior to SingFest, the guys will be in Kuala Lumpur for the global concert series MTV World Stage.

Being the reputed party-loving playboy, Tom was also taken aback by how strict a country Singapore is due to its death penalty for drug trafficking.

He said: "I told the German press about the laws. At the airport, we had to sign like a paper, that if we take drugs with us, we will be killed!"

Okay, so Tokio Hotel was clean of any illegal substances.

But Bill remembered committing an offence when he was in town - spitting chewing gum on the streets.

He said: "I forgot you can't do it, because in Germany you do it all the time, it's not forbidden.

"I think it was in a cab somewhere. It was funny, but I don't want to destroy the beautiful city so I think I'll never do it again."

But perhaps the Kaulitz siblings' most dramatic highlight of their Singapore trip involved another set of twin brothers.

We understand from a reliable industry source that Bill and Tom had a falling out with Dean and Dan Caten, the designers behind high-end fashion label DSquared, right before the Audi Fashion Festival which would open with the latter's latest collection.

A miscommunication had stemmed from both sides' minders over whether or not Tokio Hotel was to perform an acoustic set during the DSquared fashion show.

Eventually, Bill and Tom ended up watching the presentation from the front row and performed only after it.

There's even talk that things got so heated, the Kaulitz twins allegedly threw DSquared clothes that were supposed to be part of the show along the corridor of St Regis Hotel, where they were staying.

But when asked for a clarification, Bill sounded stumped and promptly shot down the rumours.

He said: "No, no, no, we like them very much. We met them at the show, they're really nice, funny guys and I really like their clothes.

"We see each other very often because they designed our outfits for our Welcome To Humanoid City European tour last year and I did the catwalk at Milan Fashion Week.

"We're not unhappy with them, it's all cool.

"We work together here and there, but it's not like we do everything with DSquared."

World Cup

Meanwhile, back home in Germany, the Teutonic heart-throbs have been spending the last month watching every match of the world cup – though they are "not really into football".

Bill, ever the diplomatic front man, said: "the German team did a good job, we're really proud of them. Third place is not too bad."

So was he also proud of the current hometown hero-turned-international celebrity Pail the oracle octopus, which had correctly predicted the outcome of all of Germany's matches and the finals in this world cup?

Bill cried: "I heard about that! It was quite interesting that he was right so many times. In the beginning, when I saw him on TV, I was like, okay, maybe it's something that happens only sometimes."

"In the end, I was totally surprised that he was right about every game. It's kind of a wonder!"

"But I don't know what's happened to Paul now."

He was referring to Germany's eight-legged psychic being inundated with death threats.

Bill continued with a hint of empathy: "That would be really really bad, so I hope, so I hope Paul is still alive."

Translation

Bill: Such a director just comes along and then he has just once chance and you've been on tour all the time. You exactly know which moments you want to be caught and where you put emphasis on.
Tom: Because we exactly knew that it will be like that, we said that it's important to have everyone of us in every situation. So we had as much cameras that we could say when we saw the DVD: "So, now the cut has to come on Bill, now the cut has to come on Georg, now the cut has to come on me, that's often the case anyway… of course, if it should become good.

Bill: When you let some time pass by and you watch all DVDs again, and you know "okay, how was the first show, how did it all begin, and above all, until then it was also a process and a long way and when you see recordings then from the very beginning, when we stood in a little club, then it feels really good. Precisely because with this tour we kinda realized our dreams, with things we always have wanted on our stage and things we always have wanted to do on stage. Well, if I watch it, then I'm proud, definitely. That we made this, and also this album, which is not easy to implement as a foursome, and to transport it on the stage in the way we want it.

I'm also glad that we recorded one of the last shows because everything went well in the show..

Tom: But we also had one or two concerts before that where everything went wrong. And I freaked out because I said, when this will happen with the DVD as well, then… eh.. eh..

Bill: Well, you're always quite stressed because there's only one chance and at the same time you want to enjoy the concert as well. And on the other hand you hope that the production works well, but this time everything was perfect.
Tom (at the tour rehearsal preview): Oh dear! I have to do everything on my own!

Bill: I personally wanted this because for us it is a way to interpret our songs and to convey the feeling from the whole record and for us it was that everything fit together at the end. The stage, the outfits, the artwork, the songs..
Tom: Everything was planned to the tick. From the opening of the ball at the beginning, every pyro show to the confetti and the courses of action, when you have to stand there and there and so on… and when Bill has to change his outfits. For us it was a complete different challenge to make the show like that.

Bill: I think it was a mix and completely unexpected for a couple of fans. I think some people came who have maybe already seen five concerts of us. And I think it was a big surprise for many people then, especially the first shows. Something like that gets around very fast, also through the internet of course and… I think at the first shows many were simply a bit shocked. But that was exactly what we wanted. I was bent on surprising the people and to show them something new.

Bill: The cool thing is that we had not been arguing the whole tour. I really have to say that it was very harmonic. What's actually quite weird…
Tom: Yeah well, but we had two tour busses, that was the good thing.

Bill: Exactly, we had two tour busses, but I expected it that we would argue earlier. And everything went fine until the last concert in Paris, we REALLY shout at each other there, it was the worst fight we had since a long time.
Tom: I think I've never presented something every evening with that great relish. Because we put so much work in it a half year or longer before. Both in the stage and in the planning of this show. We had to build the whole stage and had to test the course with the crew because it was so extremely elaborate. And so much people had to push different buttons during the show. And yeah.. we had to rehearse that… how long were we in London?

Bill: A week, right?
Tom: A week, yeah… and we rehearsed there, you can also see a bit of our rehearsal on the Live DVD.

Bill: And when you see it now, then we achieved with the DVD exactly what we wanted…
Tom: This is our best Live DVD by far.

Durch Den Monsun Contest: celebrate the 5 years

The next 15th August will be 5 years of the single release that exalted Tokio Hotel, Durch den Monsun. Since that day in which the 'monsun' devastated the german charts, the life of the four magdeburguers changed completely, and they revolutionized music within their borders and around the world.
Award after award, reluctant critics bowed to the quality of the songs of four boys who did not exceed 18 years old. And since that magical day of August, the monsoon became a hurricane and they are still succeeding five years later, despite the many contrary voices who saw his failure few years after their release.

On the occasion of the celebration of the five years release of the most important single of his career, the Fanclub decided to create together with the invaluable assistance of Monsunity, a contest for all Fanclub users. This contest is open to both people from Spain and for the entire world, because the celebration of this date is worldwide.

The contest consists of a search in our forum of a few altered songs. The participant has to hear the songs and guess what song it is. Each week four songs will be added up to a total of 21. In the forum we've created a post in which we will add challenges, and users who respond faster to the challenge, they will get clues about the songs.

When the participant has the 21 songs, he musts send an email to webmaster@tokiohotel-fanclub.es with the subject "DDM Contest", and in the message put your name and country along with the song list and the correct title of all the songs.

You must identify correctly the 21 songs.

The dynamic of the game will be: every Friday (starting today) we will post hidden in our forum 4 songs (songs in reverse or fasted) and the participant has to find them and guess what song it is. In the post dedicated to the contest, we will be writing some challenges and the faster you get the answer, you will get a clue that will help you to guess which are songs of the week.

On the 15th of August, we will publish the last song, commemorating the anniversary of the single's release, and we will keep the 21 songs on the forum until the 20th August, the last day to send the mail to participate with the 21 songs correctly identified.

Twist 08/10 (DE)

(Poster - Concert in Barcelona)
Gustav (Tokio Hotel). His Tokio Hotel fellows bitch about his weight. Especially from the superslim twins Bill and Tom (both 20) the 21-year-old got an earful: "Gustav is stuffing himself", Bill teased some weeks ago. At the same time the drummer really tried to loose weight for the "Welcome to Humanoid City"-Tour. "I've lost aready a few kilos", he defends himself. But Tom makes fun of it: "Sure! One and a half to three kilos...what an insane number." Fortunatly the self-conscious Gustav doesn't let it get him down. His sweet revenge: At every opportunity he plays tricks on the twins. "He can really be quite cheeky", reveals Bill.

In view of the current occasion

The holidays have begun in many countries or start soon. Unfortunately, every year, many so-called fans use this as an opportunity to make a "trip" to Hamburg to the house of the Kaulitz-Twins, to hang out in front of the house - yes, there are also organized tours.
We know that most of you are normal TH-Fans and don't tolerate this. Nevertheless, we want to appeal to everybody else: don't bother the four boys in their privacy! Every "I only just look", "I drove past it spontaneously" or "they are stars" is only a downplaying of the situation, so please let the boys some privacy!
Thank you for your understanding.
